Calibration process improvements
Calibration is an important step needed one time as part of the site setup. iDRiSi has introduced a semi-automated process that enables any person (not necessarily expert) to do calibration by simply following iDRiSi’s calibration wizard.
It’s planned to be implemented by robots and drones in the future.
Post calibration utilities
Those are unique software modules developed by iDRiSi. They run over the calibration matrix and optimize it using artificial intelligence. The optimization process gives weights to the data points in the matrix and thus it uses only the relevant points for the location calculation.
The post calibration utilities provide a score for the calibration quality. This score indicates to the user if the calibration is good enough or should be repeated (all or part of it).
The post calibration utilities are offline process and not required for the real-time location calculation.
Location Calculation new algorithms
iDRiSi has developed several algorithms to provide location calculation. Those algorithms are based on artificial intelligence techniques mainly we compare the current RSSI values to the calibration points in order to compute the real-time location.
Our algorithms know how to detect and deal with missing values (when a gateway doesn’t get signal from a sensor), with noise RSSI values (when a gateway gets wrong signal from a sensor), and with failed gateways.
iDRiSi Location engine learn the calibration one time and all the computations only used the built models. As a result, the runtime complexity was decreased and there is no need to store/use the calibration points in the location computation process.
