24 March 2019 – Migdal Haemek (Israel), TowerJazz

A recognised leader in manufacturing advanced analog integrated circuits, is today announcing the successful completion on a Proof of Concept (PoC) trial for asset tracking and notification services in conjunction with iDRiSi Inc., a company that specialises in indoor location solutions that involve artificial intelligence.
As part of the PoC, iDRiSi managed to show the required functionalities within two days (a remarkably short time for such a project) and successfully meet the criteria set out ahead from the POC.

TowerJazz is an asset tracking solution that locates Silicon LOTs in realtime and that’s capable of sending notifications upon predefined location and time-based rules.

TowerJazz has invited iDRiSi to explore their artificial Intelligence based product for asset tracking in order to track Silicon LOTs within a testing area of 700m2. iDRiSi was required to provide the location of the lot (in which testing station), provide notification service upon location and time and provide aggregated data regarding the Lots location and duration history.

The solution, iDRiSi Asset Tracking, provides accurate location calculation involving advanced AI algorithms. It introduces new methods of data optimization that makes the location calculation more efficient and more accurate. In addition, the calibration process* in the fingerprinting method that is considered as a challenge in the market, is being updated by iDRiSi using cutting edge machine learning utilities.

The PoC demonstrated that using advanced Artificial Intelligence algorithms improve the accuracy of the solution. It provided 1m accuracy with a cumulative distribution function (CDF) of 97%.

Avi Turgeman, Senior Director of Test & Strategic Projects, said: “Tower can take real advantage of IDRiSi’s technologies in its FABs in order to save money and to improve efficiency.”
